The Girls!
I just had to share this pic of Sara Opal and her buds. Upward Basketball was such a fun time for us all. Wendell coached Sara's team and we were able to get Em and Brooke on the team with her. Erin and Mikayla played also but they were on the team coached by Ken Hollis (our pastor) It was certainly a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

SUPER SATURDAY!!!
I set up at my first ever "craft show" on Saturday. It was a Scrapbook Extravaganza at Southwest Center. It was really just a way to get my feet wet and try to figure out the future.
I really would like to do more of those type of things soon. As usual, I took way tooo much stuff and although I intended to do double duty (be a vendor and scrapbook too) I did neither very well. The vendor room was seperate from the scrapping room. I wanted to be with Alice, Amy and Sherri who attended and they were in the scrap room. So next time, I will concentrate on one way or the other because I got next to nothing done. I did create a gift for Sara's Kindergarten teacher since Teacher Appreciation is fast approaching. I will try and post a picture. It got a lot of attention. I may have even booked a workshop because of it!

School Registration!
Well I registered Sara for school yesterday. Now all I can do is HOPE, PRAY and WAIT WAIT WAIT that Sara gets into our first choice for her first grade year of school. We had to pick 4 choices in our cluster. I don't know what we will do if she gets in choices 3 or 4. Christian school here we come. I am trying not to freak out and worry but that is what I do so the trying isn't really going to well.
I really want to start making this blog not only about me, my family and friends but I want to make it a spot for stamping and scrapbooking inspiration. However, I have SOOO very much to learn. I just really play around with this thing. I spend a lot of time looking at other blogs and saying whoa! how did they do that and than trying to figure it out. Which by the way, seldom works.
Have you ever checked out Project Playlist. Toward the bottom of my blog is one of my playlists from Project Playlist. It is a cool site where you can create music playlists. You can "pop them out" and listen to them while you work on the computer. (still trying to figure that out) My playlist that I am currently featuring on my blog is Love Songs. Now take note that they arent all happy love songs. For instance, a favorite from the 80's is Love Stinks. The song was featured in one of my favorite movies "Wedding Singer" starring the fabulous Adam Sandler. Wendell and I are big Adam Sandler fans with the exception of Little Nicky and Punch Drunk Love. I think Adam must have been Punch Drunk when he decided to make those movies. Uggh!

Here I go Again!
Okay so I really wanted to work on this and here we are again two months later. Give me a break though. Christmas, New Years, W2s..... It is a busy world and I am a busy girl. Also, I have a busy girl so maybe things will slow down. The last 6 days have been something else. We had a tremendous ice storm here in Kentucky that left so many folks without power. Including US. This is the 2nd time we have lost power in 6 months. The remnants of Hurricane Ike left us with a windstorm that knocked out power back in September. At that time we lost power for 4 1/2 days. That was considered pretty devastating in Kentucky WELL boy did this Ice storm kick that Wind storms booty. To maximize the devastation of this Ice storm were the chilling temperatures. There was just no way to truly keep warm. We lost power early last Wednesday and got it back yesterday(Sunday)around Noon. The 5 of us (This includes the pups of course) slept in the house under a multitude of covers Wednesday and Thursday Night. My wonderful buddy Amy got her power back on Friday and insisted that we come stay with her. Even though Amy and Billy were more than willing to let us bring Willow and Xander, Wendell borrowed a generator and chose to stay home with them. Sara and I stayed with the Hinton's Friday night and Saturday night. Sara had a blast with her buddy Emily and I enjoyed hanging out with my buddy also. They treated us like royalty and Amy made some yummy spaghetti Saturday night. Wendell was able to come over and eat. After dinner, we played LCR and Yahtzee Free for All while the kids played. We had a great time but we are sooooo glad to be home! I am so grateful to them for their friendship and hospitality. I just hate to feel like I am intruding on someone's life but Amy was quick to remind me....Now what would you do if roles were reversed. Of course, she is right! She is awesome! If you read this, THANKS AGAIN AMY! I have no idea how to repay you!
Sara went back to kindegarten today and I think it was the best thing. I think these children need to get back into a regular routine and get their normal lives back. Jefferson County goes back tomorrow and I register Sara Opal for FIRST GRADE! How on earth is that even possible!
I have no idea what my stamp clubs are going to do this month. I have really got to get going on that because I need to place an order which I am going to have to expedite. I would like to blame it on the windstorm but I am a true procrastinator. Thanks to Mindy, I have put out an email for a Designer Series Paper Share offer. If you love Stampin Up's Designer Series Paper but don't want to invest in whole packages, check out the email. If you are reading this and didnt get an email about it, please email me at saraopalsmom@insightbb.com and I will send that out to you. Thanks for reading!
